It presents the main scholars of the XVIIth century, followers of Etienne de Lusignan and Florio Bustron, active mainly in Venice and Padova, then, in the XVIIIth century, the work of Kyprianos and his relations to the French “Lumières”. During the last decades of the Ottoman domination, the main centers of the Cypriote culture were situated in the Eastern Mediterranean (Constantinople, Smyrna, Jerusalem, Alexandria). (eng) ER -
