Asdrachas Seminars (1994-2007)
The "Asdracha Seminar", as it was known, started in January 1994 and ended in May 2007. Forming an unofficial part of the Center of Neo-hellenic Studies/NHRF program, it took place every Tuesday 7-9pm during the academic year, at the Center’s meeting room. These seminar meetings were open and received a broad and diverse audience, from students and junior researchers of humanities studies, to known researchers and accomplished historians.
Although the general thematic direction of the Seminar, as defined by Spyros Asdrahas, revolved around economic and social history of the subjugated Greeks from the 15th to the 19th century, in practice, however, the seminars took a much broader and richer direction and often deviated into other relevant scientific disciplines.
