Περίληψη:	Oven the past decades, protein therapeutics has gained increased scientific attention because of its tremendous potential for the treatment of life-threatening deceases, such as several types of cancer, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and others. However, the application of such systems shows significant limitations due to immunogenicity, enzymatic degradation, cytotoxicity and inefficiency, especially in terms of selectivity and acceptable permittivity toward infected cells and tissues, and collective therapeutic outcome. To overcome such problems, the utilization of efficient carriers is needed. The ability of nanovesicular systems to efficiently encapsulate, deliver, and protect therapeutic proteins and peptides from enzymatic degradation renders them as a very attractive solution regarding their utilization as vehicles in the field of protein therapeutics. These nanostructures offer numerous possibilities in terms of building blocks with different characteristics that can be adjusted according to the targeted application.
