Περίληψη:	In his work, The Inner Kingdom, Metropolitan Kallistos talks about deaths, great and small. He writes: "Death is separation that is no separation". This is the feeling that the death of Metropolitan Kallistos left us with, together with a sense of awe in front of the rich spiritual heritage we are now called to think about and built upon. Some of the erudite and delightful discussions we are fortunate to share with him focused on a topic of particular interest to me, the study of emotions in the Byzantine tradition, as reflected in rhetoric and hymnography.
