| Περίληψη: | The wall painting fragments from the ‘Palace of Nestor’ (Fig. 3.1; Blegen and Rawson 1966), kept in the Museum of Hora for the past fifty years, represent a unique corpus of Mycenaean painting. After the completion of Mabel Lang’s (1969) study of what she considered to be the most representative and best-preserved paintings, less than one-third of the extant specimens were arranged in drawers and the rest were wrapped in newspapers and deposited in layers in wooden boxes and barrels.
